New English Translation
32 That is why to this day[a] the Israelites do not eat the sinew which is attached to the socket of the hip, because he struck[b] the socket of Jacob’s hip near the attached sinew.

New International Version
32 Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip,(A) because the socket of Jacob’s hip was touched near the tendon.

32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew that shrank.
