19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious:[a] sexual immorality,(A) moral impurity,(B) promiscuity,(C) 20 idolatry,(D) sorcery,(E) hatreds,(F) strife,(G) jealousy,(H) outbursts of anger,(I) selfish ambitions,(J) dissensions,(K) factions,(L) 21 envy,[b](M) drunkenness, carousing,(N) and anything similar. I am warning you about these things—as I warned you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.(O)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit(P) is love,(Q) joy,(R) peace, patience,(S) kindness,(T) goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness,(U) and self-control.(V) The law is not against such things.[c] 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus(W) have crucified the flesh(X) with its passions and desires.(Y) 25 If we live(Z) by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
