Galatians 4:7-9

7 So you aren’t a slave any longer. You are God’s child. Because you are his child, God gives you the rights of those who are his children.

8 At one time you didn’t know God. You were slaves to gods that are really not gods at all. 9 But now you know God. Even better, God knows you. So why are you turning back to those weak and worthless powers? Do you want to be slaves to them all over again?

7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.(A)

8 Formerly, when you did not know God,(B) you were slaves(C) to those who by nature are not gods.(D) 9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God(E)—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[a]? Do you wish to be enslaved(F) by them all over again?(G)
