Galatians 4:7-9

7 So you are no longer a slave(A) but a son,(B) and if a son, then God has made you an heir.(C)
Paul’s Concern for the Galatians
8 But in the past, since you didn’t know God,(D) you were enslaved to things[a] that by nature are not gods. 9 But now, since you know God,(E) or rather have become known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless(F) elements?(G) Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?

New International Version
7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.(A)

8 Formerly, when you did not know God,(B) you were slaves(C) to those who by nature are not gods.(D) 9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God(E)—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[a]? Do you wish to be enslaved(F) by them all over again?(G)
