But the son from the free woman was born ·because of the promise God made to Abraham [^Lthrough the promise; ^CIsaac; Gen. 17; 21].

One is ·the law that God made on Mount Sinai [^Lfrom Mount Sinai; ^Cthe mountain in Arabia where God delivered his law to Israel through Moses; Ex. 19—31], ·and the people who are under this agreement are like slaves [^L…bearing children for slavery]. ·The mother named Hagar is like that agreement [^LThis is Hagar].
