21 So the Israelites who had returned from the exile ate it, together with all who had separated themselves(A) from the unclean practices(B) of their Gentile neighbors in order to seek the Lord,(C) the God of Israel.

For I know my transgressions,
    and my sin is always before me.(C)
Against you, you only, have I sinned(D)
    and done what is evil in your sight;(E)
so you are right in your verdict
    and justified when you judge.(F)
Surely I was sinful(G) at birth,(H)
    sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
    you taught me wisdom(I) in that secret place.(J)

Cleanse(K) me with hyssop,(L) and I will be clean;
    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.(M)
