Ezra 9:12-14

12 Therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters for your sons, and never seek their peace or prosperity, so that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.” 13 After all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, seeing that you, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserved and have given us such a remnant as this, 14 shall we break your commandments again and intermarry with the peoples who practise these abominations? Would you not be angry with us until you destroy us without remnant or survivor?

12 Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them(A) at any time, that you may be strong(B) and eat the good things(C) of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’(D)
13 “What has happened to us is a result of our evil(E) deeds and our great guilt, and yet, our God, you have punished us less than our sins deserved(F) and have given us a remnant like this. 14 Shall we then break your commands again and intermarry(G) with the peoples who commit such detestable practices? Would you not be angry enough with us to destroy us,(H) leaving us no remnant(I) or survivor?
