Ezra 9:12-14

12 So now do not (A)give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters to your sons, and (B)never seek their peace or their prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and (C)leave it as a possession to your sons forever.’ 13 After all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and (D)our great guilt, since You our God have requited us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us (E)an escaped remnant as this, 14 (F)shall we again break Your commandments and intermarry with the peoples [a]who commit these abominations? (G)Would You not be angry with us [b]to the point of destruction, until there is no remnant nor any who escape?

New International Version
12 Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty of friendship with them(A) at any time, that you may be strong(B) and eat the good things(C) of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting inheritance.’(D)
13 “What has happened to us is a result of our evil(E) deeds and our great guilt, and yet, our God, you have punished us less than our sins deserved(F) and have given us a remnant like this. 14 Shall we then break your commands again and intermarry(G) with the peoples who commit such detestable practices? Would you not be angry enough with us to destroy us,(H) leaving us no remnant(I) or survivor?
