Ezra 1:5-7
Contemporary English Version
5 Many people felt that the Lord God wanted them to help rebuild his temple, and they made plans to go to Jerusalem. Among them were priests, Levites, and leaders of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. 6 The others helped by giving silver articles, gold, personal possessions, cattle, and other valuable gifts, as well as offerings for the temple.
7 King Cyrus gave back the things that Nebuchadnezzar[a] had taken from the Lord's temple in Jerusalem and had put in the temple of his own gods.

- 1.7 Nebuchadnezzar: Known as Nebuchadnezzar II, who ruled Babylonia from 605 to 562 b.c. In 586 b.c. he destroyed Jerusalem and took many of its people to Babylonia.

New International Version
5 Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin,(A) and the priests and Levites—everyone whose heart God had moved(B)—prepared to go up and build the house(C) of the Lord in Jerusalem. 6 All their neighbors assisted them with articles of silver and gold,(D) with goods and livestock, and with valuable gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings.
7 Moreover, King Cyrus brought out the articles belonging to the temple of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and had placed in the temple of his god.[a](E)
