13 Now it happened as I prophesied, that (A)Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell on my face and cried out with a loud voice and said, “(B)Alas, Lord Yahweh! Will You bring the remnant of Israel to complete destruction?”

“(B)Lord Yahweh, please pardon!
[b]How can Jacob rise up,
For he is (C)small?”
3 Yahweh [c](D)relented concerning this.
“It shall not be,” said Yahweh.
4 Thus Lord Yahweh showed me, and behold, Lord Yahweh was calling to contend with them by (E)fire, and it consumed the great deep and began to consume the [d]farm land. 5 Then I said,
“(F)Lord Yahweh, please stop!
[e](G)How can Jacob rise up, for he is small?”
6 Yahweh [f](H)relented concerning this.
“This too shall not be,” said Lord Yahweh.
