Contemporary English Version
31 You will remember your evil ways and hate yourselves for what you've done. 32 People of Israel, I'm not doing these things for your sake. You sinned against me, and you must suffer shame and disgrace for what you have done. I, the Lord God, have spoken.
33 After I have made you clean, I will let you rebuild your ruined towns and let you live in them.

31 Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.(A) 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed(B) and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!(C)
33 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On the day I cleanse(D) you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins(E) will be rebuilt.(F)
