9 I will make you a ruin forever. No one will live in your cities. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10 “‘You said, “These two nations, Israel and Judah, and these two lands will be ours. We will take them for our own.” But the Lord was there. 11 So this is what the Lord God says: As surely as I live, this is true. I will treat you just as you treated them. When you were angry and jealous, you acted hatefully against them. I will punish you. And that is how I will show the Israelites who I am.

9 I will make you desolate forever;(A) your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.(B)
10 “‘Because you have said, “These two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession(C) of them,” even though I the Lord was there, 11 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger(D) and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.(E)
