Ezekiel 33:5-7

5 For he heard the sound of the horn and he did not take warning; his blood will be on him. But if he took warning, he saved his life. 6 And as for the watchman, if he sees the sword coming and he does not blow[a] the horn, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and it takes their lives,[b] he will be taken through his guilt, but his blood from the hand of the watchman I will seek.’
7 “And you, son of man,[c] I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; if you hear a word from my mouth, then you must warn them from me.

New International Version
5 Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head.(A) If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves.(B) 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’(C)
7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman(D) for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.(E)
