Ezekiel 33:5-7
International Children’s Bible
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet. But he did not do anything. So he is to blame for his own death. If he had done something, he would have saved his own life. 6 But the watchman might see the enemy coming to attack and not blow the trumpet. So the people are not warned. Then the enemy comes and kills one of them. That person has died because of his own sin. But I will punish the watchman for the person’s death.’
7 “As for you, human being, I have made you a watchman for Israel. If you hear a message from me, you must warn them for me.

Ezekiel 33:5-7
New International Version
5 Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head.(A) If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves.(B) 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’(C)
7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman(D) for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.(E)
