Ezekiel 33:5-7

5 Since he heard the sound of the ram’s horn but ignored the warning, his death is his own fault.[a] If he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. 6 However, suppose the watchman sees the sword coming but doesn’t blow the ram’s horn, so that the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes and takes away their lives. Then they have been taken away because of their iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’
7 “As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel.(A) When you hear a word from my mouth, give them a warning from me.

New International Version
5 Since they heard the sound of the trumpet but did not heed the warning, their blood will be on their own head.(A) If they had heeded the warning, they would have saved themselves.(B) 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, that person’s life will be taken because of their sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.’(C)
7 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman(D) for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.(E)
