²³ So I arose and went out into the valley, and behold, ^(A)the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory that I had seen ^(B)by the Chebar canal, ^(C)and I fell on my face.

³ And ^(A)the vision I saw was just like the vision that I had seen ^(B)when he^[a] came to destroy the city, and just like ^(C)the vision that I had seen ^(D)by the Chebar canal. And ^(E)I fell on my face.

⁴ Then he brought me by way of ^(A)the north gate to the front of the temple, and I looked, and behold, ^(B)the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord. And ^(C)I fell on my face.

³ Then Abram ^(A)fell on his face. And God said to him,

¹⁷ Then Abraham ^(A)fell on his face ^(B)and laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

¹⁴ And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” And Joshua ^(A)fell on his face to the earth and worshipped and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?”

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood. And when he came, ^(A)I was frightened ^(B)and fell on my face. But he said to me, “Understand, ^(C)O son of man, that the vision is for ^(D)the time of the end.”

⁴ And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting ^(A)me?”

^17 (A)When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But ^(B)he laid his right hand on me, ^(C)saying, “Fear not, ^(D)I am the first and the last,
