Ezekiel 28:16-18
New American Standard Bible 1995
16 “By the (A)abundance of your trade
[a]You were internally (B)filled with violence,
And you sinned;
Therefore I have cast you as profane
From the mountain of God.
And I have destroyed you, O [b]covering cherub,
From the midst of the stones of fire.
17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your (C)beauty;
You (D)corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor.
I cast you to the ground;
I put you before (E)kings,
That they may see you.
18 “By the multitude of your iniquities,
In the unrighteousness of your trade
You profaned your sanctuaries.
Therefore I have brought (F)fire from the midst of you;
It has consumed you,
And I have turned you to (G)ashes on the earth
In the eyes of all who see you.

New International Version
16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,(A)
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, guardian cherub,(B)
from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud(C)
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.(D)
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire(E) come out from you,
and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes(F) on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching.(G)
