7 “Your sail was of fine embroidered linen from Egypt
So that it became your [a]distinguishing mark;
Your [b]awning was [c](A)blue and purple from the coastlands of (B)Elishah.
8 “The inhabitants of Sidon and (C)Arvad were your rowers;
Your (D)wise men, O Tyre, were [d]aboard; they were your pilots.
9 “The elders of (E)Gebal and her wise men were with you repairing your seams;
All the ships of the sea and their sailors were with you in order to deal in your merchandise.

7 Fine embroidered linen(A) from Egypt was your sail
and served as your banner;
your awnings were of blue and purple(B)
from the coasts of Elishah.(C)
8 Men of Sidon and Arvad(D) were your oarsmen;
your skilled men, Tyre, were aboard as your sailors.(E)
9 Veteran craftsmen of Byblos(F) were on board
as shipwrights to caulk your seams.
All the ships of the sea(G) and their sailors
came alongside to trade for your wares.
