7 Fine linen with embroidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.
8 The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were thy mariners; thy wise men, O Tyre, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
9 The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy caulkers; all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to trade for thy merchandise.

New International Version
7 Fine embroidered linen(A) from Egypt was your sail
and served as your banner;
your awnings were of blue and purple(B)
from the coasts of Elishah.(C)
8 Men of Sidon and Arvad(D) were your oarsmen;
your skilled men, Tyre, were aboard as your sailors.(E)
9 Veteran craftsmen of Byblos(F) were on board
as shipwrights to caulk your seams.
All the ships of the sea(G) and their sailors
came alongside to trade for your wares.
