10 “‘Men from Persia, Lud, and Put were in your army. They were your men of war who hung their shields and helmets on your walls. They brought honor and glory to your city. 11 Men from Arvad and Cilicia were guards standing on the wall around your city. Men from Gammad were in your towers. They hung their shields on the walls around your city and made your beauty complete.
12 “‘Tarshish was one of your best customers. They traded silver, iron, tin, and lead for all the wonderful things you sold.

10 “‘Men of Persia,(A) Lydia(B) and Put(C)
served as soldiers in your army.
They hung their shields(D) and helmets on your walls,
bringing you splendor.
11 Men of Arvad and Helek
guarded your walls on every side;
men of Gammad
were in your towers.
They hung their shields around your walls;
they brought your beauty to perfection.(E)
12 “‘Tarshish(F) did business with you because of your great wealth of goods;(G) they exchanged silver, iron, tin and lead for your merchandise.
