7 so I will punish you. You will be like the valuable things soldiers take in war. You will lose your inheritance and die in faraway lands. I will destroy your country! Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

8 This is what the Lord God says: “Moab and Seir[a] say, ‘The family of Judah is just like any other nation.’ 9 I will cut into Moab’s shoulder—I will take away the cities that are on its borders—the glory of the land, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim.

7 therefore I will stretch out my hand(A) against you and give you as plunder(B) to the nations. I will wipe you out from among the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy(C) you, and you will know that I am the Lord.(D)’”

8 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because Moab(E) and Seir(F) said, “Look, Judah has become like all the other nations,” 9 therefore I will expose the flank of Moab, beginning at its frontier towns—Beth Jeshimoth(G), Baal Meon(H) and Kiriathaim(I)—the glory of that land.
