16 therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cher′ethites, and destroy the rest of the seacoast. 17 I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon them.”

16 therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines,(A) and I will wipe out the Kerethites(B) and destroy those remaining along the coast.(C) 17 I will carry out great vengeance(D) on them and punish(E) them in my wrath. Then they will know that I am the Lord,(F) when I take vengeance on them.(G)’”
