23 And your headdresses will be on your heads and your shoes on your feet. You (A)will not mourn, and you will not weep, but (B)you will rot away in your iniquities, and you will groan [a]to one another. 24 Thus Ezekiel will be a (C)wondrous sign to you; according to all that he has done you will do; when it comes, then you will know that I am Lord Yahweh.’”
25 ‘Now as for you, son of man, will it not be on the day when I take from them their (D)strong defense, the joy of their beauty, the desire of their eyes, and what lifts up their soul, their sons and their daughters,

23 You will keep your turbans(A) on your heads and your sandals(B) on your feet. You will not mourn(C) or weep but will waste away(D) because of[a] your sins and groan among yourselves.(E) 24 Ezekiel(F) will be a sign(G) to you; you will do just as he has done. When this happens, you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.’
25 “And you, son of man, on the day I take away their stronghold, their joy and glory, the delight of their eyes,(H) their heart’s desire,(I) and their sons and daughters(J) as well—
