16 And I will be profaned by you before the eyes of the nations, and you will know that I am Yahweh.”’”
17 And the word of Yahweh came[a] to me, saying,[b] 18 “Son of man,[c] the house of Israel has become as silver dross to me; all of them are as bronze and tin and iron and lead in the midst of a furnace, even as silver dross, silver dross they became!

16 When you have been defiled[a] in the eyes of the nations, you will know that I am the Lord.’”
17 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 18 “Son of man, the people of Israel have become dross(A) to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace.(B) They are but the dross of silver.(C)
