16 You[a] will be profaned in the sight of the nations. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”(A)

17 The word of the Lord came to me: 18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become merely dross to me.(B) All of them are copper, tin, iron, and lead inside the furnace;(C) they are just dross from silver.

16 When you have been defiled[a] in the eyes of the nations, you will know that I am the Lord.’”
17 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 18 “Son of man, the people of Israel have become dross(A) to me; all of them are the copper, tin, iron and lead left inside a furnace.(B) They are but the dross of silver.(C)
