⁴⁷ Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, ^(A)I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every ^(B)green tree in you and every ^(C)dry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and ^(D)all faces from south to north shall be scorched by it.

³¹ For ^(A)if they do these things when ^(B)the wood is green, what will happen ^(C)when it is dry?”
