15 Also (A)I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands, 16 because they rejected My judgments, and as for My statutes, they did not walk in them; they even profaned My sabbaths, for their (B)heart continually walked after their idols. 17 Yet My eye had pity on them rather than bringing them to ruin, and I did not make of them a (C)complete destruction in the wilderness.

15 Also with uplifted hand I swore(A) to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land I had given them—a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands(B)— 16 because they rejected my laws(C) and did not follow my decrees and desecrated my Sabbaths. For their hearts(D) were devoted to their idols.(E) 17 Yet I looked on them with pity and did not destroy(F) them or put an end to them in the wilderness.
