46 Your older sister was Samaria. She lived north of you with her daughters. Your younger sister was Sodom. She lived south of you with her daughters. 47 You lived exactly the way they did. You copied their evil practices. I hate those practices. Everything you did was so sinful that you soon became even worse than they were. 48 Your sister Sodom and her daughters never did what you and your daughters have done. And that is just as sure as I am alive,” announces the Lord and King.

46 Your older sister(A) was Samaria, who lived to the north of you with her daughters; and your younger sister, who lived to the south of you with her daughters, was Sodom.(B) 47 You not only followed their ways and copied their detestable practices, but in all your ways you soon became more depraved than they.(C) 48 As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign(D) Lord, your sister Sodom(E) and her daughters never did what you and your daughters have done.(F)
