30 I, the Lord God, say that you were so disgusting that you would have done anything to get what you wanted.[a] 31 You had sex on every street corner, and when you finished, you refused to accept money. That's worse than being a prostitute! 32 You are nothing but an unfaithful wife who would rather have sex with strangers than with your own husband.

30 “‘I am filled with fury against you,[a] declares the Sovereign Lord, when you do all these things, acting like a brazen prostitute!(A) 31 When you built your mounds at every street corner and made your lofty shrines(B) in every public square, you were unlike a prostitute, because you scorned payment.
32 “‘You adulterous wife! You prefer strangers to your own husband!
