Ezekiel 16:1-3
Evangelical Heritage Version
Jerusalem, the Prostitute[a]
16 The word of the Lord came to me.
2 Son of man, confront Jerusalem with her abominations. 3 Tell them this is what the Lord God says to Jerusalem.
Your origin and your birth were from the land of the Canaanites. Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite.
Footnotes
- Ezekiel 16:1 Ezekiel 16 and 23 are shockingly graphic. Ezekiel uses ugly language to describe Israel’s ugly actions. These chapters dramatically proclaim how ugly sin is in the eyes of a holy God, a message we dare not soften in our crass and immoral age.
