7 “So this is what the Lord God says: Those people you have killed and left in the middle of the city are ·like the best meat [L the meat], and this city is ·like the cooking pot [L the cauldron]. But I will ·force [drive; take] you out of the city. 8 You have feared the sword, ·but [so] I will bring a sword against you, says the Lord God. 9 I will ·force [drive; take] you out of the city and hand you over to ·strangers [foreigners] and ·punish [execute judgments upon] you.

7 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot,(A) but I will drive you out of it.(B) 8 You fear the sword,(C) and the sword is what I will bring against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.(D) 9 I will drive you out of the city and deliver you into the hands(E) of foreigners and inflict punishment on you.(F)
