11 1 Who they were that seduced the people of Israel. 5 Against these he prophesieth, showing them how they shall be dispersed abroad. 19 The renewing of the heart cometh of God. 21 He threateneth them that lean unto their own counsels.
1 Moreover, the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the East gate of the Lord’s house, which lieth Eastward, and behold, at the entry of the gate were five and twenty men: among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, the princes of the people.
2 Then said he unto me, Son of man, these are the men that imagine mischief, and devise wicked counsel in this city.
3 For they say, [a]It is not near, let us build houses: this city is the [b]caldron, and we be the flesh.

God’s Sure Judgment on Jerusalem
11 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the Lord that faces east. There at the entrance of the gate were twenty-five men, and I saw among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah(A) son of Benaiah, leaders(B) of the people.(C) 2 The Lord said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who are plotting evil(D) and giving wicked advice in this city.(E) 3 They say, ‘Haven’t our houses been recently rebuilt? This city is a pot,(F) and we are the meat in it.’(G)
