³ behold, the ^(A)hand of the Lord will be on your cattle in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the oxen, and on the sheep—a very severe pestilence.

¹⁵ For indeed the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp until they ^[a]were consumed.

⁷ And when the men of Ashdod saw how it was, they said, “The ark of the ^(A)God of Israel must not remain with us, for His hand is harsh toward us and Dagon our god.”

^13 (A)So the Philistines were subdued, and they ^(B)did not come anymore into the territory of Israel. And the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
