⁵ Take^(A) up an offering among you for the Lord. Let everyone whose heart is willing bring this as the Lord’s offering: gold, silver, and bronze;

²¹ Everyone whose heart was moved and whose spirit prompted him came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its services, and for the holy garments.^(A)

⁵ the gold for the gold work and the silver for the silver, for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now who will volunteer to consecrate himself to the Lord today?”

Gifts for the Work

⁶⁸ After they arrived at the Lord’s house in Jerusalem, some of the family leaders gave freewill offerings^(A) for the house of God in order to have it rebuilt on its original site.

² The people praised all the men who volunteered^(A) to live in Jerusalem.

¹² For if the eagerness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.^(A)

⁷ Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of necessity, for God loves^(A) a cheerful giver.
