⁷ “Aaron must burn fragrant incense^(A) on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps. ⁸ He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come.^{(B) 9} Do not offer on this altar any other incense^(C) or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it.

¹² He is to take a censer full of burning coals^(A) from the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense^(B) and take them behind the curtain.

¹⁷ Each man is to take his censer and put incense in it—250 censers in all—and present it before the Lord. You and Aaron are to present your censers also.^(A)”

⁴⁶ Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer^(A) and put incense in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the assembly^(B) to make atonement^(C) for them. Wrath has come out from the Lord;^(D) the plague^(E) has started.”
