¹⁷ So ^(A)I said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of ^(B)the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land ^(C)flowing with milk and honey.”’

⁴ But ^(A)Pharaoh will not listen to you. And I will ^[a]set My hand upon Egypt and ^(B)bring out My hosts, My people the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt by ^(C)great judgments.

⁵¹ And on that same day ^(A)Yahweh brought the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt ^[a](B)by their hosts.

⁶ So Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel, “At evening ^[a](A)you will know that Yahweh has brought you out of the land of Egypt;

Jethro’s Counsel

18 Now ^(A)Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father-in-law, heard of all that God had done for Moses and for Israel His people, how Yahweh had brought Israel out of Egypt.

^8 (A)and Yahweh brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders;
