²⁴ The fat of an animal that dies naturally or is mauled by wild beasts^[a](A) may be used for any purpose, but you must not eat it.^(B)

¹⁵ “Every person, whether the native or the foreigner,^(A) who eats an animal that died a natural death or was mauled by wild beasts^(B) is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening; then he will be clean.

³¹ The priests may not eat any bird or animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts.^(A)
