¹¹ there must be an oath before the Lord between the two of them to determine whether or not he has taken his neighbor’s property. Its owner must accept the oath, and the other man does not have to make restitution.

¹⁹ So Joshua said to Achan, “My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel,^(A) and make a confession to Him.^[a] I urge you, tell me what you have done. Don’t hide anything from me.”

²⁴ So a second time they summoned the man who had been blind and told him, “Give glory^(A) to God.^[a](B) We know that this man is a sinner!”
