15 For by now I should have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with such pestilence that you would have vanished from the earth. 16 But this is why I have let you survive: to show you[a] my power and to make my name resound throughout the earth!(A) 17 Will you continue to exalt yourself over my people and not let them go?

15 For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people(A) with a plague that would have wiped you off the earth. 16 But I have raised you up[a] for this very purpose,(B) that I might show you my power(C) and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. 17 You still set yourself against my people and will not let them go.
