¹⁷ Thus says Yahweh, “^(A)By this you shall know that I am Yahweh: behold, I am about to strike ^[a]the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and ^(B)it will be turned to blood.

¹⁹ And the ^[a]magicians said to Pharaoh, “^(A)This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was ^[b]hardened with strength, and he did not listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.

^22 (A)But on that day I will make a distinction for the land of Goshen, where My people are ^[a]living, so that no swarms of flies will be there, that you may know that ^[b](B)I, Yahweh, am in the midst of the land.

^7 (A)And Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this man be ^(B)a snare to us? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh their God. Do you not yet know that Egypt is destroyed?”

⁴ Thus ^(A)I will ^[a]harden Pharaoh’s heart with strength, and ^(B)he will pursue them; and I will be glorified through Pharaoh and all his army, so that ^(C)the Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh.” And they did so.

^18 (A)Then the Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh, when I am glorified through Pharaoh, through his chariots and his horsemen.”

²⁵ And He ^[a]caused their chariot wheels to swerve, and He made them drive with difficulty; so the Egyptians said, “Let ^[b]us flee from Israel, ^(A)for Yahweh is fighting for them against the Egyptians.”
