12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they were turned into serpents: but Aaron’s rod devoured their rods.
13 So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not to them, as the Lord had said.
14 ¶ The Lord then said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is [a]obstinate, he refuseth to let the people go.

12 Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs. 13 Yet Pharaoh’s heart(A) became hard and he would not listen(B) to them, just as the Lord had said.
