²⁹ Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders^(A) of the Israelites,

⁵ The Lord answered Moses, “Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff^(A) with which you struck the Nile,^(B) and go.

¹⁵ The elders^(A) of the community are to lay their hands^(B) on the bull’s head^(C) before the Lord, and the bull shall be slaughtered before the Lord.^(D)

¹⁶ The Lord said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders^(A) who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people.^(B) Have them come to the tent of meeting,^(C) that they may stand there with you.
