24 And when he was in his journey, in the inn, the Lord met him, and would have killed him.
25 Immediately Sephora took a very sharp stone, and circumcised the fore skin of her son, and touched his feet and said: A bloody spouse art thou to me.
26 And he let him go after she had said A bloody spouse art thou to me, because of the circumcision.

New International Version
24 At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses[a] and was about to kill(A) him. 25 But Zipporah(B) took a flint knife, cut off her son’s foreskin(C) and touched Moses’ feet with it.[b] “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me,” she said. 26 So the Lord let him alone. (At that time she said “bridegroom of blood,” referring to circumcision.)
