Offerings for the Tabernacle^(A)

⁴ And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, ^(B)“This is the thing which the Lord commanded, saying: ⁵ ‘Take from among you an offering to the Lord. ^(C)Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: ^(D)gold, silver, and bronze; ^6 (E)blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and ^(F)goats’ hair; ⁷ ram skins dyed red, badger skins, and acacia wood; ⁸ oil for the light, ^(G)and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense; ⁹ onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate.

²¹ Then everyone came ^(A)whose heart ^[a]was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they ^(B)brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

³ Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver:

⁵ the gold for things of gold and the silver for things of silver, and for all kinds of work to be done by the hands of craftsmen. Who then is ^(A)willing to ^[a]consecrate himself this day to the Lord?”

⁹ Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had ^(A)offered willingly to the Lord; and King David also rejoiced greatly.

^68 (A)Some of the heads of the fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God, to erect it in its place:

² And the people blessed all the men who ^(A)willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem.

¹¹ but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have. ¹² For ^(A)if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

¹³ For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened;

⁷ So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, ^(A)not grudgingly or of ^[a]necessity; for ^(B)God loves a cheerful giver.
