Exodus 32:6-8

6 The people woke up very early the next morning. They killed animals and offered them as burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. They sat down to eat and drink. Then they got up and had a wild party.
7 At the same time, the Lord said to Moses, “Go down from this mountain. Your people, the people you brought out of the land of Egypt, have committed a terrible sin. 8 They have very quickly turned away from what I commanded them to do. They made a calf from melted gold for themselves. They are worshiping that calf and making sacrifices to it. The people have said, ‘Israel, these are the gods that led you out of Egypt.’”

New International Version
6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings.(A) Afterward they sat down to eat and drink(B) and got up to indulge in revelry.(C)
7 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt,(D) have become corrupt.(E) 8 They have been quick to turn away(F) from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol(G) cast in the shape of a calf.(H) They have bowed down to it and sacrificed(I) to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’(J)
