Exodus 32:30-32
Contemporary English Version
30 The next day Moses told the people, “This is a terrible thing you have done. But I will go back to the Lord to see if I can do something to keep this sin from being held against you.”
31 Moses returned to the Lord and said, “The people have committed a terrible sin. They have made a gold idol to be their god. 32 (A) But I beg you to forgive them. If you don't, please wipe my name out of your book.”[a]

New International Version
30 The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin.(A) But now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement(B) for your sin.”
31 So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed!(C) They have made themselves gods of gold.(D) 32 But now, please forgive their sin(E)—but if not, then blot me(F) out of the book(G) you have written.”
