¹⁰Now leave me alone^(A) so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy^(B) them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”^(C)

¹⁰Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

⁸At Horeb you aroused the Lord’s wrath^(A) so that he was angry enough to destroy you.^(B)

⁸Also in Horeb ye provoked the Lord to wrath, so that the Lord was angry with you to have destroyed you.
