14 (A)Ye shall therefore keep the [a]Sabbath: for it is holy unto you: he that defileth it, shall die the death: therefore whosoever worketh therein, the same person shall be even cut off from among his people.
15 Six days shall men work, but in the seventh day is the Sabbath of the holy rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, shall die the death.
16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, that they may observe the [b]rest throughout their generations for an everlasting Covenant.

14 “‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death;(A) those who do any work on that day must be cut off from their people. 15 For six days work(B) is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest,(C) holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death. 16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath,(D) celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
