10 Once a year Aaron shall purge its horns.(A) Throughout your generations he is to purge it once a year with the blood of the atoning purification offering. This altar is most sacred to the Lord.
Census Tax. 11 The Lord also told Moses: 12 When you take a census(B) of the Israelites who are to be enrolled, each one, as he is enrolled, shall give the Lord a ransom for his life, so that no plague may come upon them for being enrolled.

New International Version
10 Once a year(A) Aaron shall make atonement(B) on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering[a](C) for the generations to come.(D) It is most holy to the Lord.”

11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “When you take a census(E) of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom(F) for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague(G) will come on them when you number them.
