10 “Once a year Aaron is to perform the purification rite[a] on the horns of the altar. Throughout your generations he is to perform the purification rite[b] for[c] it once a year, with the blood of the sin offering for atonement.(A) The altar is especially holy to the Lord.”
The Atonement Money
11 The Lord spoke to Moses: 12 “When you take a census(B) of the Israelites to register them, each of the men must pay a ransom(C) for himself to the Lord as they are registered. Then no plague(D) will come on them as they are registered.

10 Once a year(A) Aaron shall make atonement(B) on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering[a](C) for the generations to come.(D) It is most holy to the Lord.”
